Simplified Agreement Summary
CareerContainer is free, local-first, and requires no account. Because your resumes autosave inside your browser storage, you own and are fully responsible for backup files, data preservation, and verifying exported PDF formatting.
Simple Agreement
CareerContainer is a free, browser-based resume builder designed to help you create, edit, format, and export professional resumes.
By accessing or using CareerContainer, you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not access or use the service.
These Terms apply to your use of the CareerContainer website, resume builder, templates, editing tools, export functionality, and related services.
Free Core Use
CareerContainer's core resume-building features are currently available free of charge. You can use the available templates, editing workspace, resume tools, validation features, and browser-based PDF export without creating an account or paying a subscription fee.
CareerContainer may introduce additional paid features or services in the future. Any such features will be subject to the terms and pricing presented when those features are introduced.
No Account Required
CareerContainer does not require you to create an account to use the core resume builder.
Because there is no required user account for the core experience, you are responsible for maintaining access to your locally stored resumes and keeping appropriate backups of important work.
Your Content
You retain ownership of the text, information, data, and other content that you create, edit, or import into your resumes. CareerContainer does not claim ownership of the resume content you create.
You are responsible for the content you enter into CareerContainer, including ensuring that it is accurate, truthful, lawful, and appropriate for the purpose for which you intend to use it.
You are also responsible for reviewing your resume before submitting it to employers, recruiters, job boards, or other third parties.
You should not include information in a resume that you do not have the right to use or disclose.
Local Storage and Backups
CareerContainer is designed to operate primarily on your device. Your resumes are stored in browser-managed local storage, primarily using IndexedDB, rather than being maintained as cloud-based resume records on CareerContainer's servers.
Because this storage is controlled by your browser and device, CareerContainer cannot guarantee that locally stored resumes will remain available indefinitely. Your locally stored data may be lost if, for example:
- You clear your browser's site data or storage.
- You reset or reinstall your browser.
- You use private or incognito browsing.
- Your device experiences data loss or corruption.
- Browser or device-maintenance software removes local website data.
- You otherwise remove CareerContainer's stored browser data.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of important resumes.
CareerContainer provides .resume backup files that you can download and store independently. We strongly recommend keeping backups of resumes that you do not want to lose.
PDF Export
CareerContainer provides browser-based PDF export functionality. PDF generation is designed to take place locally in your browser rather than requiring your resume content to be uploaded to a remote document-processing service.
Because PDF generation depends partly on your browser, operating system, fonts, printer/print settings, and other local factors, the resulting output may vary between devices or browsers.
You are responsible for reviewing the exported PDF before submitting it to an employer, recruiter, or other third party.

We strongly recommend exporting your resume as a .resume backup file before:
- Clearing browser data
- Resetting your browser
- Moving to another device
- Performing major browser maintenance
- Deleting local CareerContainer data
CareerContainer cannot restore locally stored data that has been permanently deleted from your device when no backup is available.
Privacy
Your use of CareerContainer is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how the service handles information, local browser storage, analytics, advertising, and other privacy-related matters.
Please review the Privacy Policy before using the service.
Changes to the Service
CareerContainer may add, remove, modify, or update features from time to time.
We may change the service to improve functionality, security, performance, compatibility, or user experience.
We do not guarantee that any particular feature will remain available indefinitely.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the Last updated date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of CareerContainer after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If a material change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide that notice or obtain that consent as appropriate.
Suspension or Termination
Because the core CareerContainer experience does not require an account, there may be no individual account to terminate.
However, we may restrict, suspend, or discontinue access to the service where reasonably necessary to:
- Protect the security or availability of the service.
- Prevent abuse or unauthorized access.
- Address violations of these Terms.
- Comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
- Protect CareerContainer, its users, or third parties.
If access to the service is restricted, locally stored resume data may remain on your device, but you should maintain independent backups rather than relying on continued access to CareerContainer.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded under the laws applicable to you.
